NBA -- Raptors cool off Heat, 108-94
By Roman David Garay PhilBoxing.com Sun, 20 Dec 2015

MIAMI- A large percentage of North American's population were moviegoers Friday night but some 19,600 South Floridians chose to cheer for their basketball team at American Airlines Arena.
DeMar DeRozan and the Toronto Raptors however, didn't make those fans feel good about their choice that evening as the Raptors dozed off their Heat 108-94.
DeRozan scored 17 of his game-high 30 points in the second half. After being down by five in the first two quarters, Toronto tightened up its defense limiting the Heat to just 38.2 percent from the field and finished the game on a 14-5 run.
"I like the way we competed. " head coach Dwane Casey beamed after the game. " I thought we came out of the locker room in the second half with our juices flowing a little bit."
Casey was quite impressed of his star guard, "DeMar DeRozan got us going. I don't know how many ( shots) straight he hit in a row but I thought he was very effective. "
Luis Scola scored 12 of the first 14 Raptors points in the first quarter of play and finished with 20 points and 3 rebounds. Kyle Lowry added 21 markers and 4 dimes.
It was another disappointing loss for Miami. The Heat are still seeking for its first 4-game winning streak of the season.
"They made some big shots. They made shots when they needed it." Heat guard Dwyane Wade spoke after game. Wade notched 21 points but had 8 turnovers in the loss. Goran Dragic added 18 points and 5 assists while super-sub Gerald Green had 20 points in the loss.
Miami dropped to 15-10 overall. The Raptors improved to 17-11 despite missing the services of defensive specialist DeMarre Carroll and big man Jonas Valenciunas.
