NBA -- Raptors outlast Nets in OT, 127-122 By Ben Paz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 01 Feb 2015 BROOKLYN -- Despite losing a double digit lead, the Toronto Raptors found a way to win in an overtime, beating the Brooklyn Nets, 127-122, on Friday night at the Barclays Center. Toronto led by 17 points in the third quarter before Brooklyn, led by Jarrett Jack, answered back with an 18-4 run to take a five point lead, 100-95. But the Raptors responded as DeMar DeRozan scored 10 straight points to keep Brooklyn at bay. Nets center Brook Lopez had a chance to win it for the Nets but he missed the open 21-foot jumper at the buzzer, sending the game to overtime. DeRozan was the high man for Toronto with 26 points and nine assists. Johnson had 24 points on 10-11 shooting from the field. Lou Williams added 25 points off the bench. Jonas Valanciunas added 14 points and 11 rebounds. "It was ugly but guys found a way... I thought our guys came in and competed and battled. We got stops when we needed to" said coach Dwane Casey. Starting in pace of the injured Deron Williams, Jarrett Jack posted a career-high 35 points. He also had 13 assists and eight rebounds. Lopez matched Jack with 35 points while grabbing 12 rebounds. Joe Johnson and Mason Plumlee scored 17 and 12 points, respectively. "We didn't have enough. It's a shame that we can't be in here smiling right now because we played well enough to win" Nets head coach Lionel Hollins said. The loss extended the Nets' losing streak to four. The Raptors, meanwhile, improved to 32-15 and stretched their winning streak to five. Toronto travels to Washington to face the Wizards on Saturday.
