NBA -- Nets stops Magic at Barclays, 104-96 By Ben Paz PhilBoxing.com Tue, 11 Nov 2014 BROOKLYN -- Bojan Bogdanovic scored 16 of his team-leading 22 points in the second half to help the Brooklyn Nets secure a 104-96 win against the Orlando Magic at the Barclays Center on Sunday night. The 3-2 Nets had just come off a commanding win over the New York Knicks when they continued their home stand against the 2-4 Magic. Down by two at the half, the Nets played better in the second half, thanks to a greater defensive intensity and a more intense offensive focus. Bogdanovic, in his first year in the NBA after several years overseas, finished the night with an impressive 9-of-12 shooting, with six rebounds and a steal. Four other Nets scored in the double digits including 18 from Deron Williams who also dished out 7 assists. Mason Plumlee contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Joe Johnson and Brook Lopez scored 13 and 12 points respectively. "He wasn't guarding him. I want him to guard him," Hollins said after the game to explain why Lopez sat out the entire fourth quarter. Hollins put Garnett on Orlando's Nikola Vucevic, a defensive switch that led to no shot attempts in the final period for the Magic center. Vucevic posted game high totals of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Evan Fournier had 19 points and 5 assists and three other Magic players registered double figures in points. The Orlando Magic look to turn things around when travel north to play the Toronto Raptors. The Brooklyn Nets, meanwhile, hope to keep their win streak alive when they visit the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night.
