The Whole Tooth and Nothing But ...

MAYWEATHER CHALLENGE VIA TWITTER IS JUST THAT ? A TWIT

PhilBoxing.com
Wed, 11 Jan 2012

Funny how my phone lit up as soon as some friends read about the Mayweather challenge issued against Manny Pacquiao via ?twitter?, one of the many internet social medias that presently proliferate the world wide web.

?Hey, he finally came out and issued the challenge via twitter and he even called Pacquiao a punk,? one of my friends said to me.

My initial gut reaction was - Well, it?s about time the future jail bird man up and calls out Pacquiao.

But when pragmatism set in I realized that perhaps the so-called Mayweather challenge via twitter was just that, a twit - a deliberate insult to Pacquiao?s common sense.

I personally do not believe that Mayweather really wants a fight with Pacquiao on May 5th.

But he will open his mouth just to show people that it is Pacquiao who is ducking the fight when truly, the reverse is true.

This guy is an expert ducker therefore he knows how to play the game. He will twist the facts and make it appear that Pacquiao is ducking the fight when it is him who had been ducking it for the last two years via those unreasonable and stupid pre-conditions he had set.

Now he is out there via twitter issuing the challenge.

But his challenge is far too late.

Manny Pacquiao stated days ago that he wants to fight Mayweather.

Yes Floyd he said it ahead of you.

He also stated it in plain English.

In fact many websites had the statements clearly written.

Hey Floyd, can?t you read?

I guess Floyd and his spin makers deliberately ignored Manny?s statements and they issued the twit just to cloud the issue.

But people are not all stupid. Many saw through the deliberate deception and are reacting through articles published in internet sites.

Common sense tells me that Mayweather will fight on May 5th. He has no choice as that is the sole reason his high priced lawyers gave the judge as to why Floyd should get a postponement of his date with the jailer at Clark County, Nevada.

If Floyd does not fight on that date, then there is a good chance he will be in trouble with the court and may end up staying in prison longer.

So Team Mayweather is at a frenzy looking for an opponent. They are baiting everyone, Pacquiao included.

But Floyd and his spin masters know that it is close to impossible to make the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight happen on May 5th.

Logistically it is impossible to make it. Although Pacquiao agreed to some of the stupid preconditions of Mayweather just to make the fight, there are just too many fine lines to he addressed before an agreement can be made. Foremost amongst them is the Arum-Golden Boy fiasco - the inherent dislike of each other.

And, I would not be surprised if Pacquiao and Arum already has some plans made that does not include Mayweather this spring.

Therefore I am positive that in spite of what Mayweather posted via twitter, his fight on May 5th will be not be against Pacquiao.

But Mayweather and his spin masters still had to put out the twit just to save face and make it appear that it is Pacquiao who is ducking the fight.

Lame!

Mayweather will be fighting a Latino on May 5th. It could be Canelo, Robert Guerrero or anybody else with a Latino name. Cinco de Mayo, remember?

He could even be Emiliano Zapata or Don Diego de la Vega (Zorro)

The only qualification is for the guy not to have an iota of a chance to beat him or ask for more money that what Mayweather is willing to pay.
