The Whole Tooth and Nothing But ...

AFTER JANUARY 6TH, THE BOXING WORLD SHOULD FOCUS ON BOXING AND FORGET MAYWEATHER FOR A WHILE

It never cease to amaze me why people still keep on writing stories about Floyd Mayweather Jr and his again aborted ?super? fight with Manny Pacquiao when many know that with the issues that continually pop up, a fight between the two may not even happen.

A suggestion was made to tie Mayweather with a binding legal agreement to fight Pacquiao after his jail time so that the special venue proposed by Bob Arum for the big event can be designed and constructed near the Las Vegas Strip.

Others went further suggesting that perhaps HBO can do 24/7 segments of Floyd in jail to be included in the hype before the fight.

Listen, there is plenty of time to do all of these stuff (except the 24/7 segment filmed from jail) so I suggest everyone just chill and wait until Mayweather pays off his debt to society.

Making him feel important while he is in jail may just get in his head and he may start believing that it?s okay to do anything he wants as people will turn their heads and allow it to slide because of the money he can generate for them.

Continually focusing on Mayweather at this point is insensitive to the welfare of women in this country.

It is greedy, shameful and insulting. And, it is not right!

In fact, focus should be on what Mayweather has done and how it can be prevented (instead of the lamenting on not seeing him fight Pacquiao) so that people will be made more aware of the issues involving women?s rights.

There is no excuse for beating a woman and harassing children. Period!

I suggest that the guy should be left alone for now and allowed to sit in jail and think about his misdeeds. Cut him a slack and let him be alone with his thoughts. Perhaps, that may make him a better person after he gets out of jail.

After January 6th, when Floyd begins his stint at the Clark County jail, boxing should forget him for a while and focus on what can be done to continue to allow the sport to prosper without Mayweather being a factor.

Keeping Mayweather on the front burner instead of the back where is now belongs is also unfair to the many boxers who toil to become champions while leading a clean life.

People should understand that there will be plenty of time to get everything together for the ?super fight? after he is out of jail!

For now let us put more time in making people aware of women?s rights and the injustice and sufferings they incur from the hands of people like Mayweather instead of continually focusing on Mayweather as if we condone what he has done.

Everything else involving him can and should wait until he behaves himself and completes his debt to society.
