HEY SHANE, YOU HAVE A JOB TO DO; LEAVE THE TRASH –TALK TO OTHERS PhilBoxing.com Wed, 20 Jan 2010  It’s so amazing how members of the top echelon of the Golden Boy Promotions are self-destructing. In fact, it’s not even funny anymore. It’s a shame it had to happen. GBP has so much promise and the potential to carry boxing to the next level. What they have been doing and saying for that matter, is certainly sad for them, for boxing, and for the fans. Case in point: Shane Mosley. Mosley reportedly said in a recent interview with BoxingTalk.com the following statement: - “I am not going to say Pacquiao is doing anything; but he is a little questionable, just a little bit.” Hey Shane, like the saying goes- “There is no such thing as a half pregnant woman. It’s either she is pregnant or not!” Saying that Pacquiao is a “bit questionable” just does not cut it. That’s misleading and wrong! If you really think that Pacquiao is on something, say it so like a man. Then prove it. Otherwise you are just a liar like the rest who can’t back up their statements. Don’t be mincing your words. Stating that Pacquiao is “questionable” is tantamount to an accusation without proof to back it up. That is defamation. Oh yes, you can’t defame a guy just a bit either. There is no such thing as a “bit of defamation”. And, what’s this business of saying 'just a bit?' anyway? Are you scared of going all out and say Pacquiao is a user like you? Are you afraid of being named on the lawsuit too? I think for now you better just concentrate on training for the fight with Mayweather. Your partners maybe able to arrange it, you know. If they do, I am betting you will lose by a close split decision because that is how it is meant to be. Mayweather does not fight if he can not cherry pick his opponents. So IMHO, he will go all out to assure that you will lose perhaps even before you even get on the ring with him. No matter what it takes; come hell or high water he will not let his “o” go. Why do you think he avoided Pacquiao? It isn’t the blood test my man. He was totally scared to lose his “o”. A meeting with Mayweather will guarantee tons of money for your future retirement as I am sure GBP will market the fight to the hilt. And people will go see it hoping to see you beat and shut up the loud mouth from Michigan and place yourself in a position for a block-buster fight with Pacquiao. But you have to absolutely make sure no one pulls a Juan Manuel Marquez on you. Of course as a partner in the company, it is hard to believe that you will be sacrificed for the “greater good” of the company. Doing so is wrong and immoral. At the very least, it’s not right. Neither is it fair. But like they say:- it’s business. In business nothing supersedes what is good for the company as a whole. Thus putting you on the back burner is a possibility. In fact, people may actually believe that as a fact. Some are already insinuating it. Your onus therefore is to prove that you will not agree to being sacrificed. No matter how much money is involved. The only way to do that is for you to decisively beat Mayweather. By a stunning knock-out if possible. I know you can beat the crap out of Mayweather. But are you willing to do it? So again, just put your head on the fight. Don’t give me stupid reasons if you lose because you are far better than Mayweather. Leave the trash-talking to the others and save whatever credibility you have left which by the way is not much anymore. You are on the twilight of your career so it is to your best interest to be on the level and have a chance to leave your legacy slightly less muddied. Finally, stop this business of making comments regarding drug use. As a confirmed user, you are in no position to give a credible statement regarding the issue. Do your talking “on the ring”!
