Ancajas, Palicte vow to KO Indons in Tibay ng Pinoy 4 at Almendras gym By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Fri, 22 Aug 2014 ![]() FILIPINO fighters Jerwin ?The Pretty Boy? Ancajas and Aston ?Diego Corales? Palicte both vowed yesterday to knock out their separate Indonesian opponents in the double-main header of the ?Tibay ng Pinoy 4? slated tonight at 6 p.m. at the Almendras gym. Ancajas, the reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) International super flyweight champion, will fight Rochmad Santoso of Indonesia in a 10-rounder non-title fight. Palicte, on the other hand, will face Franvis Damur Plue in a 10-rounder 115 lbs. match. Both Ancajas and Palicte have knocked out their previous rivals all in the first round. The 22-year old Ancajas, however, refused to give a prediction on what round will he knockout Santoso. ?Hinumun lang nako ang tanan ugma sa ring,? Ancajas said during the presscon held after the official weigh-in yesterday at The Royal Mandaya Hotel. Santoso admitted that Ancajas is a ?very good fighter? according to his lady manager Rosa Kusuma. ?We have seen his fights in video in Youtube,? said Rosa. Ancajas is toting 20 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw with 12 knockouts while Santoso has 11 wins, 3 loses and 6 KOs. They both tipped the scales at 115 pounds yesterday. Palicte, 23, said that he will also try to KO Plue in the fifth round against the Indonesian?s prediction of within six rounds. ?Sa fifth round nako siya tumbahon,? said the undefeated Palicte (14 wins, 10 Kos and 1 loss) Plue (7 wins, 3 Kos, 3 loses and 2 draws) said that he is ready to fight and have prepared well against Palicte. MP Boxing Gym chief trainer Nonoy Neri, on the other hand, said that both Ancajas and Palicte have also trained hard for the fights just like the rest of the other fighters now under MP Promotions. ?Nag improved talaga sila lalo dahil sa aming training na galing pa US,? Neri said. Neri is one of the Filipino assistant trainers of 8-time world champion Manny Pacquiao, who is also the promoter of the boxing card that is free to the public. Co-promoter Joven Jimenez thanked Pacquiao and Neri for giving the Filipino boxers a chance to improve. ?Malaki talaga ang tulong nila sa boxing,? Jimenez said.
