NBA -- Cavs, Bulls angling for Love By Kelly Manalo PhilBoxing.com Fri, 25 Jul 2014  Love. CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls are looking to get back into the Kevin Love sweepstakes. According to ESPN, the Bulls are willing to trade forwards Taj Gibson, Nikolai Mirotic, and Doug Mcdermott to Minnesota for Kevin Love. This comes after Chicago has made numerous moves to bolster the depth of its roster. This new offer may change the Timberwolves' decision into which team they want to deal with as they have been in talks with the Cleveland Cavaliers for this year?s No.1 draft pick Andrew Wiggins and last year?s top pick Anthony Bennett, along with a future first round draft pick. Cleveland re-signed superstar LeBron James and are looking to pair him with Kevin Love to make a new Big Three along with point guard Kyrie Irving. Kevin Love is a three time NBA All-Star who is as versatile as they come. He can rebound, shoot from the outside, and even bang inside with the big boys. He may not be the most athletic player but he has a high basketball IQ that cannot be taught. Love, who already told the Wolves publicly that he won't sign an extension with them, is deemed a great fit for Chicago or Cleveland and would make either team instant title contenders. So the Wolves are trying to get as much value for their star as they can. Chicago originally pulled out from dealing with Minnesota when they first thought Carmelo Anthony was actually considering coming to the Bulls. Once Anthony made his decision to stay in New York, the Bulls went to Plan B and signed ex-Laker Pau Gasol , guard Aaron Brooks, and coveted European Nikolai Mirotic. Now they are really trying to up the ante by coming back to try and trade for Love. Neither team can make a deal until 30 days because of rookie signings that prevent trades until 30 days since those rookies signed their deals. It will be an interesting rest of the summer as Minnesota does not want the distraction of having to deal Love by the trade deadline, so once the time is up, look for Love to begin the NBA season in a new uniform.
