SALUDAR, ARROYO MEET AT FINAL PRESSCON IN PUERTO RICO By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Wed, 18 Jun 2014  Undefeated Filipino flyweight contender Froilan 'The Sniper' Saludar (R) and Puerto Rican Olympian McWilliams Arroyo (L) came face to face during the final press conference at the Verdanza Hotel Tuesday ahead of their fight on Thursday, June 19 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The Saludar and Arroyo headliner is for the title eliminator of the IBF flyweight crown currently held by Thai champion Amnat Ruenroeng. The event is being promoted by Golden Boy Live! in association with PR Best Boxing and will be shown live on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Deportes. Saludar told the Puerto Rican media ?I will not waste this great opportunity given me by fighting McWilliams Arroyo for the IBF title eliminator. Although Arroyo is an Olympian and a good and talented fighter, I promise that I will do all my best to win this fight. I have trained hard in preparing for this fight with my trainer Jun Agrabio and I am 100% ready.? Saludar, on Tuesday, weighed 112.4 lbs, only .4 lbs over the flyweight limit. ?We will definitely have no problem during tomorrow's weighin scheduled at 12:00 noon at the Verdanza Hotel,? Saludar's promoter Sammy Gello-ani, told Philboxing. Promoter Ivan Rivera of PR Best Boxing, said, "This Thursday we will back to the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum with a great show and a big fight that will define the future of McWilliams Arroyo, who fight against Froilan Saludar for the top of the IBF flyweight rankings. It is an important step for McWilliams on his way to a world opportunity, and the fans can enjoy the fight live in the arena or on TV on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports." In the co-main event, Cesar Seda Jr. (25-2, 17 KOs), a world title challenger in 115 and 122 pounds, will fight in a 10 rounds superbantamweight bout against Mexican Alex Rangel (15-2-2, 9 KOs). Seda Jr., who came off an unanimous decision defeat on December, 2013, against the WBC superbantamweight champion Leo Santa Cruz, is ranked #6 by this entity in the 122 pounds.
