NBA Playoffs -- Pacers regain control with Game 3 win By Adeline Deladisma PhilBoxing.com Sun, 11 May 2014 ![]() FORT WAYNE - After months of losing themselves in a fog of mediocrity and self-doubt, the Indiana Pacers are finally playing like the top seed in the Eastern Conference. Paul George scored 23 points while Roy Hibbert's resurgence continued with 14 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks as the Pacers regained home court advantage with a decisive 85-63 win over the Washington Wizards Friday night at the Verizon Center. David West finished with 12 and Luis Scola turned in 11. George Hill and Lance Stephenson contributed 9 each, but the story was Indiana's defense, which held the Wizards to 32. percent from the field (24-of-73) and 25 percent from 3-point range (4-of-16). "I don't even know how many points we had, but it didn't feel like it was a fast-paced game at all. I think we have to get back at that," Wizards guard Bradley Beal, who struggled with 16 points on 6-for-19 shooting, told NBA.com. John Wall, Beal's speedy backcourt running mate, also struggled with 15 points on 6-for-13 shooting while Nene missed 11 of 14 shots for 8 points. The Wizards also bungled 10 of 21 free throws. "That was probably the ugliest game of the postseason thus far. This is our style of basketball. Every now and then this team is fortunate to get hot offensively, but what we do is play defense," George told NBA.com. Besides their menacing defense, the Pacers compounded the Wizards woes by producing more assists, 20-10.
