NBA - Warriors dismiss head coach Mark Jackson

SAN FRANCISCO -- Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson will not return to the team after three successful seasons.
Jackson compiled a 121-109 record during his coaching stint. He led the Warriors to back-to-back playoffs appearances for the first time in 17 years. But all the success wasn't enough to save his job.
In a prepared statement, Warriors general manager Bob Myers thanked Jackson for his services but he felt "it's best to move in a different direction at this time."
Accroding to an ESPN report, Steve Kerr and Stan Van Gundy are the top candidates to succeed Jackson, a former NBA player, broadcaster and an ordained minister. (JSM).
