NBA Playoffs - Clippers outlast Warriors in Game 7
By Joan Secuya-Medida PhilBoxing.com Mon, 05 May 2014

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Los Angeles Clippers are off to the second round of the NBA playoffs for only the third time in franchise history.
And it took a village to do it.
Blake Griffin scored 24 points, Chris Paul orchestrated with 22 and 14 assists, and DeAndre Jordan tallied 15 and 18 boards as the Clippers outlasted the Golden State Warriors, 126-121, Saturday night in Game 7 of their Western Conference quarterfinals at the Staples Center.
Other Clips joined the fray as well.
Jamal Crawford fired 22 off the bench, Matt Barnes chipped in 13 while J.J. Redick came up with 20, including a jumper that gave Los Angeles a 118-112 lead in the final 35.5 seconds of the final quarter.
The usually stoic Doc Rivers, head coach of the Clippers, was unusually demonstrative after the win, high-fiving and pumping his fists in the air. "I needed to exhale. To laugh and cheer and be proud of something," he told NBA.com
Steph Curry finished with a game-high 33 while Draymond Green had 24 and 7 boards for the Warriors. Klay Thmpson checked in 15 and David Lee registered 13 and 13 boards while playing center.
Amid speculation that he could lose his job, Warriors head coach Mark Jackson said in his post-game press conference, "I'm going to be fine, even if it's just as a full-time pastor." (JSM)
