NBA -- Magic thrash Blazers to snap 9-game losing streak

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Orlando Magic ended their nine-game slide Tuesday night by beating the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 95-85, at the Amway Center.
Tobias Harris led the way for Orlando with 25 points and 11 rebounds while center Nikola Vucevic turned in 22 and 10 boards. Rookie Victor Oladipo added 13 points and the Magic, who improved slightly to 20-52, won by outscoring the Blazers 27-16 in the second quarter and 29-23 in the third.
Center Robin Lopez led the Blazers with 20 points and 13 rebounds, but it didn't prevent Portland from losing two in a row. Wes Matthews had 18 but Damian Lillard was limited to 7 points and 2 assists after shooting just 5-of-17 from the field.
The Blazers made only 32 of 86 field goals dropped to 45-27 in the Western Conference, good for fifth place. But if the playoffs were to start tomorrow, Portland won't have home court advantage in the opening round.
"This is a very, extremely disappointing loss and in fact it was a game we needed to have," Blazers head coach Terry Stotts told reporters after the game.
Portland played without injured star LaMarcus Aldirdge for a seventh straight game. (RM)
