NBA -- Bulls extend Sixers' losing streak to 22
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Thu, 20 Mar 2014

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls unleashed a balanced offensive onslaught in Philadelphia Wednesday night and the results were catastrophic for the poor Sixers who lost their 22nd game in a row,
DJ Augustine paced the Bulls with 20 points and Taj Gibson added 19 and 13 rebounds, Jimmy Butler chipped in 16 while Joakim Noah tallied 14 and 10 boards as the Bulls scored a hard fought 102-94 victory.
Chicago, which improved to 38-30 for the season, also got 15 from Mike Dunleavy and another 12 and 11 rebounds from Carlos Boozer.
The Bulls converted only 36 of 83 field goals for a meager 43.4 percent but they made 8 of 15 triples, a very high 53.3 percent. The Bulls also ruled the boards, 52-38.
"I know you were not going to knock them out. You better be able to play a whole game," Bulls head coach told NBA.com after his team narrowly escaped the struggling Sixers.
Thaddeus Young was the high man for Philadelphia with 24 while Tony Wroten finished with 17. Rookie sensation Michael Carter-Williams pitched in 16 but the Sixers missed 9 of 19 free throws and fell to 15-53 in the standings. (Homer D. Sayson)
