NBA -- Sixers fall to Indy, lose 21 in a row
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Wed, 19 Mar 2014

CHICAGO -- The Philadelphia Sixers sank to a new low Monday night at the Banker Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis where they lost their 21st consecutive game.
Lance Stephenson scored 25 points and Paul George added 24 and eight boards. George Hill added 11 and Ian Mahinmi contributed 10 more as the Indiana Pacers got past the Sixers, 99-90, despite making only 31 of 81 field goals.
Philadelphia fell to 15-51, giving the 13-54 Milwaukee Bucks a run for the worst record in the NBA this season. The 21 consecutive defeats in the worst in Philadelphia franchise history.
The Sixers converted only 35 of 81 shots and they misfired on 14 of their 23 three-point attempts. They also missed nine free throws.
"We couldn't make a few free throws. If you make more free throws and you don't have the slip-ups, those mental errors on the other end with those 3-point shots, you're really in it. But we look at it again just another layer of learning and trying to forge our way through this season," Sixers head coach Brett Brown told NBA.com.
Thaddeus Young topscored for Philly with 23 and rookie Michael Carter-Williams tallied 15 markers, 13 boards and five dimes. Hollis Thompson and Tony Wroten each had 17. (Homer D. Sayson)
