NBA - No major moves in slow trade deadline
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Sat, 22 Feb 2014

CHICAGO -- None of the big names rumored to be on the trading block were actually moved when the NBA trading deadline came to pass Thursday afternoon.
The two-time defending champions Miami Heat did nothing but dismiss Roger Mason to the Sacramento Kings to clear a roster spot.
The Oklahoma City Thunder, who currently sits atop the NBA standings, did not move, content with the pieces they have to make a championship run. The Portland Trail Blazers and the Chicago Bulls also stood pat.
But the San Antonio Spurs and Indiana Pacers, both legitimate title contenders, tweaked their line-ups a little bit.
The Spurs added size by sending point guard Nando de Colo to Toronto for Austin Daye. Indiana, meanwhile, made the most buzz by trading longtime Pacer Danny Granger to Philadelphia for Lavoy Allen and Evan Turner.
Granger had spent all of his nine NBA seasons with Indiana, where he was an All-Star and the Most Improved Player in 2009. But the injury prone guard-forward became disposable, no thanks to his age (30), his expiring contract worth $13.01 million this season, and the emergence of fellow All-Star Paul George.
The L.A. Lakers, L.A. Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Bobcats and Washington Wizards all made trades, but nothing meaningful. (Homer D. Sayson)
