NBA -- Bulls beat Bucks for fourth straight win By Kelly Manalo PhilBoxing.com Sat, 11 Jan 2014 ![]() MILWAUKEE -- The Chicago Bulls defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 81 to 72 in a game that felt like the Bulls were the home team Friday night here at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Chicago came in winning three games in a row and have now won two in a row without their two time all star Luol Deng who they traded earlier in the week. The game started off slow for Chicago, which trailed 8-1 early and looked flat and lost on the court still mourning the loss of their former teammate. There was errant passing and bad shots being taken for Chicago, but Milwaukee could not pull away as they too were not playing very well. Both teams traded baskets throughout the first half. The Bulls Mike Dunleavy hit back to back three pointers to give his team the slight edge at the half. Chicago was being the more aggressive team after two quarters going to the free throw line 28 times compared to Milwaukee?s six attempts. The Bulls surged coming out in the second half pushing the lead to a high 15 points. The Bucks' Larry Sanders showed his frustrations by picking up a technical foul throwing an elbow at Carlos Boozer after losing out on a rebound. Boozer led the Bulls with a double double scoring 19 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. There was a scare in the middle of the third quarter when Bulls guard Jimmy Butler drove to the basket and ran into a defender later grabbing his leg. He stayed on the floor for a few minutes and needed to be helped off the court. He hurt his thigh but was able to return for the final period. The Bucks came out in the fourth fired up going on a run cutting the lead to 1. OJ Mayo led Milwaukee with 16 points off the bench, while Ersan Ilyasova and Luke Ridnour both chipped in 14. It was not enough though as the Bulls were able to hold on when former Buck Mike Dunleavy hit a running layup to seal the game. Dunleavy finished with 18 points. The Bulls look to continue life without Deng tomorrow night as they take their win streak back to the United Center against the Charlotte Bobcats.
