By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Fri, 20 Dec 2013

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls' back-to-back road trip went on to disastrous start when they fell to the Houston Rockets, 109-95, Wednesday night at the Toyota Center.
Dwight Howard finished with 23 points and nine rebounds while Chandler Parsons added 19 and nine rebounds as the Rockets handed the Bulls their sixth defeat in seven starts. The Bulls dropped to 9-15 in the overall standings.
James Harden added 19 and Patrick Beverley chipped in 15 for Houston, which improved to 17-9 in the Western Conference.
After struggling on offense of late, the Bulls shot well on the floor -- over 48 percent -- but their defense allowed the Rockets to make 44 of 82 field goals, a high 53.7 percent.
Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 20 while Loul Deng added 18. Carlos Boozer tallied 17 and six boards. and D.J. Augustin manned the point guard slot with eight points and nine assists.
"We didn't take anything away. They beat us in the paint. They hurt us with the 3. They shot 53 percent. Just be disciplined. Do your job. You can live with certain shots. They're a great offensive team but you got to take something away," an unhappy Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau told NBA.com after the game.
With barely enough time to recover, the Bulls travel to Oklahoma City today to face the powerhouse Thunder led by Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook. (Homer D. Sayson)
