NBA -- Suns burn Warriors, 106-102
By Joan Secuya-Medida PhilBoxing.com Mon, 16 Dec 2013

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Phoenix Suns increased their win streak to five games on Sunday by beating the Golden State Warriors, 106-102, at the US Airways Arena in downtown Phoenix.
Eric Bledsoe and Goran Dragic combined for 45 points and 12 assists to hold off Golden State's star-studded backcourt of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson known as the Splash Brothers.
Curry and Thompson combined for 49 points but they made only 15 of 34 field goals while the Warriors sank just 34 of 80 shots while missing 10 of their 33 free throws.
The poor effort did not sit well with Curry, who told NBA.com "We're trying to turn it around and put forth the effort and get us out of these substandard performances. We've got to change it."
David Lee and Andrew Bogut combined for 27 points and 27 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Warriors' 12th loss in 25 games.
Channing Frye added 20 points for the Suns, who shot 44.3 percent from the field and made 13 of their 27 attempts from 3-point range. Phoenix improved to 14-9, sixth place overall in the Western Conference. (JSM)
