Gen. Santos City -- Jerwin 'Pretty Boy' Ancajas made short work of Ryan Bongcawel by sending the latter crushing to the canvas with a vicious body attack to score a 2nd round knockout in the main event during last night's boxing show at the Lagao Gymnasium here. The event was a birthday present of Sarangani Congressman Manny Pacquiao, who will turn 35 on Dec. 17th, to his province mates.
Ancajas stopped Bongcawel at 1:58 of the second round. The Davao City-native Ancajas registered his 18th win against a single loss and a draw with 10 knockouts.
In the undercards promoted MP Promotions USA LLC in cooperation with Joven Sports Promotions, Jack 'Golden Boy' Tepora of Omega Boxing Stable in Cebu City scored a lopsided unanimous 10-round decision over Alvin Makiling of Bukidnon in the junior featherweight division.
Super flyweight Gerpaul 'Comeback Kid' Valero of Wakee Salud Stable, beat Richard Garcia via unanimous decision in another 10-round bout.
In an 8-round junior featherweight encounter, Johny Gimeno stopped Jordan Catubay in the 2nd round securing a TKO win.
Both Gimeno and Catubay received a simultaneous mandatory count from the referee, after both of them kissed the canvas.
In other results, Jonel Dapidran, nephew of Congressman Pacquiao, scored his second professional win via unanimous versus Avelino Ramos in the four-round, 136-lbs battle.
Jhaleel Payao won by TKO over Sherwin McDo Lungay (4th round) and Charley Pucdol versus Jonathan Zosada (3rd round).
Marvilou Aballe beat Rey John Indita (2nd round TKO).
Jay-Ar Inson defeated Wariel Verano (2nd round TKO).
