NBA -- Warriors tame Grizzlies behind Thompson's 30 points
By Joan Secuya-Medida PhilBoxing.com Mon, 09 Dec 2013

SAN FRANCISCO -- The Golden State Warriors snapped a nine-game losing streak at the FedEx Forum Saturday night. And they did it in grand fashion, scoring a runaway 108-82 victory over the host Memphis Grizzlies.
Two nights after missing 8-of-10 shots in his team's blowout loss to the Rockets in Houston, shooting sensation Klay Thompson bounced back with a 30 points performance, This time, he nailed 12 of 19 field goals and 3-of-5 triples.
Two other Warriors had big performances as David Lee finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds while Stephen Curry nearly missed out on a triple-double with 22 points, 15 assists and six rebounds. Andrew Bogut added eight points and 12 boards,
Mike Miller had 16 for Memphis, which fell to 9-10. The Grizzlies played without injured starters Marc Gasol and Tony Allen but Zach Randolph suited up for 15 markers and six rebounds. Jon Leuer had 12.

The Warriors moved up to 12-9 and glad to put their losing streak in Memphis behind them.
"I'd be lying if I say it didn't (mean anything). They've had their way with us. It's been a long time coming. For theses new guys here, they don't know the history. People talk about the San Antonio streak and all that. That's not our history. This is the one streak that's ours and we own it. It's very refreshing and it means a lot to come here and get a W," Warriors head coach Mark Jackson told NBA.com (JSM)
