NBA -- Bulls cool off Heat (Photos)

CHICAGO -- Deflated by the season-ending loss of their leader Derrick Rose and reeling from six defeats in seven games, the Chicago Bulls looked like easy prey to the two-time defending champions Miami Heat, who came to the United Center with 10 wins in their last 11 games.

But the Bulls scored a mild 107-87 upset, thanks to Carlos Boozer and Luol Deng who combined for 47 points, 14 rebounds and six assists. Joakim Noah added 17 points and 15 rebounds.

LeBron James led the Heat with 21 points but the reigning MVP missed 10 of 17 field goals and was held to five rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes and 18 seconds of play.

Norris Cole had 15 and Roger Mason added 12 points for the Heat, who played without Dwayne Wade (illness) and Chris "Birdman" Andersen (personal reasons).

The victory improved the Bulls record to 8-9 while the Heat dropped to 14-5. (Homer D. Sayson)
