NBA -- Pacers race to NBA-best 16-1 start
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Tue, 03 Dec 2013

CHICAGO -- The Indiana Pacers used a 29-point first quarter jump to catapult them to a league-best 16-1 record Sunday afternoon at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles.
Paul George knocked down 27 points, grabbed six rebounds and handed out five assists and the Pacers beat the host Clippers, 105-100.
George got enough firepower behind him as David West chipped in 24 points and 12 rebounds while Roy Hibbert added another 19 and eight boards. Point guard George Hill finished with 11 markers and six dimes, helping the Pacers win their seventh straight.
"Paul George is a great player. He was so comfortable in the first half. I thought Jamal's offense was great, but the defense was better," Clippers head coach Doc Rivers told NBA.com after his team fell to 12-6 in the standings, good for first place in the Western Conference's Pacific Division.
All-Star Chris Paul finished with 17 points and 10 helpers for the Clippers while his sidekick, power forward Blake Griffin, had 16 and 12 rebounds. Crawford added 20 for the Clips, who made only 36 of 82 field goals and only 4-of-15 from 3-land. (Homer D. Sayson)
