Gesta Fight Taken Off Top Rank Card!

Filipino Mercito Gesta's scheduled fight today against Mexican Barbaro Zepeda was scrapped in the last minute due to unknown reasons.
An American scribe who went to the fight to see Gesta said he could not tell why the Filipino's fight was taken off the card, although the match-up was included in the list of fights distributed by Top Rank only last week.
Gesta's manager Terry Carter could not be reached for comment on the real story behind the scrapping of the fight, although Philboxing.com will try to get to the bottom of this story as soon as we get there.
