Pinay Boxer in 2006 West Wind Challenge

This Sunday, December 10, 2006 Ana "Hurricane" Julaton, the #4 female bantamweight boxer in the US and California and a former San Francisco Golden Gloves and Diamond Belt Champion will face Teresa "Tree" O'Toole, a 4-time National Champion and a former USA representative to the PAN AM and World Games. O'Toole has an eight years experience in boxing and has been involved in more than 80 fights. She is currently ranked #2 female bantamweight in the US.
The fight card which will be held at the West Wind Event Center in Berekely, California is billed as the 2006 West Wind Challenge. The bouts starts at 3:00 PM.
Some well-known athletes in the San Francisco and Bay area including JJ Stokes of the San Francisco 49ers football team, George Atkinson of the Oakland Raiders football team and Mitch Richmond of the Golden State Warriors basketball team will be in attendance as well a large group of Filipino community leaders and fight fans from all over California.
Plans are now being made to include Julaton in the fight card that will be presented by the GAB in Boracay on January 21-25 to give Filipinos a chance to see her perform her ring talents.
