Anatoliy Dudchenko beats Sabou Ballogou for WBA NABA Light Heavyweight Title
By Jhay Oh Otamias PhilBoxing.com Sun, 24 Feb 2013

Anatoliy Dudchenko, 17-2, 12KOs, crowned himself the new WBA NABA Light Heavyweight Champion earlier tonight after he knocked out Maryland-based African Sabou Ballogou of Lome, Togo, in the 5th round at the Quiet Cannon Country Club in Montebello, California.
The Ukrainian Anatoliy Dudchenko, who has been fighting out of Southern California, was trailing on points going into the 5th round, 39-37 on two judges' scorecards, and 38-38 on the third judge, as he was just trying to pick his shots, while allowing his shorter opponent to bully him around the ring. The 5th round followed the same pattern as the previous rounds, with Sabou Ballogou chasing and swinging wildly at the backtracking Anatoliy Dudchenko. Then, midway into the round, as Ballogou was about to pin Dudchenko in a corner, the Ukrainian suddenly sidestepped and landed a thunderous right on Ballogou's face, dropping him to his knee for the mandatory count. Sensing his opponent was still dazed and on wobbly legs, Anatoliy Dudchenko immediately rained blows on Ballogou, sending him to the canvas for the second time. Referee David Mendoza saw enough and did not bother to count anymore, stopping the fight at 2:26 of the fifth round, and awarding Anatoliy Dudchenko his 12th KO victory.
In other bouts, Ismayl Sillakh knocked out Ghanian Daniel Allotey in the second round of a Cruiserweight 8-rounder.
Junior Welterweight Brian Jones won by unanimous decision over Johnny Frazier with scores of 40-35, 39-36, and 38-37.
And, in the opening Heavyweight bout, Charles Martin scored a quick first round knockout of Anthony Hynson to register his 5th straight win, all by KOs.
