WBC International Flyweight Champion Filipino Rey Megri?o of Misamis Occidental is scheduled to clash with Japanese Kenji Kubo in a 6-rounder non-title bantamweight fight tomorrow (Tuesday) at the famed Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
In his last outing, the 26-year old Rey Megri?o (18-20-3, 16KO's) knocked out veteran former Thai world champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (87-5-2, 46KO's) to capture the WBC International Flyweight belt last December in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
This time in Japan, the Filipino will battle 23-year-old warrior Kenji Kubo (1-0, 0KO's), a boxer in his second professional boxing match, but with top level experience as warrior in MMA, K-1 and kick boxing tournaments.

Megri?o's cornerman will be his compatriot Brico Santig of Baguio's Highland Boxing, a successful promoter and man of boxing who last year won the WBC ABCO Promoter of the year award.
"The fight tomorrow is tough. All Japanese boxers are strong, but Megrino is in good shape and ready," commented Brico Santig from Japan's capital, Tokyo.
The main event will be the super featherweight rumble between 25-year-old Yuya Sugizaki (16-8-1, 6KO's) of Kanagawa and Saitama's Keiichi Izumi (11-5, 3KO's).
In addition, Yusuke Konno (5-1, 2KO's) of Kawasaki and Tokyo's Takuya Fujii (5-3, 1KO) will exchange artillery in an 8-rounder welterweight fight.
Tomorrow's card at the Korakuen Hall will be a production of the very active Kadoebi Jewel Promotions Company of Tokyo.
