NBA -- Rockets win in Charlotte, end 7-game drought By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Tue, 22 Jan 2013 ![]() CHICAGO -- Shooting poorly and shooting erratically, the Houstons Rockets were on the cusp on losing eight consecutive game Monday afternoon when they faced the Charlotte Bobcats at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. But as the stars usually do when called upon, James Harden answered the bell. Harden drilled 12 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter to lead Houston to a come-from-behind 100-94 victory. Harden's rescue job snapped Houston's 7-game losing streak and kept the Rockets in eighth place overall in the Western Conference with a 22-21 record. Harden, who left the OKC Thunder during the offseason for a starring role in Houston, shot miserably form the field and made only five of 20 field goals. But he constantly attacked the hoop and drew fould that led to 21 free throws. He made 19 of those freebies, including 10 in the final stanza. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound all-purpose guard also had seven rebounds and seven assists. Marcus Morris was huge off the bench with 21 points and eight rebounds while Carlos Delfino had 16. Chandler Parsons added 14 for the Rockets, who converted just 29 of 74 field goals and 10 of 29 threes. Charlotte, which led by as many as 12 and by 81-74 entering the fourth quarter, got a career-high 35 points from Kemba Walker while Rmaon Sessions finished with 19 and eight assists. It was the Bobcats' 15th consectuive home loss. They've also lost two in a row and eight of their last 10. They fell to 10-31 overall.
