NBA -- Warriors look to rebound vs Blazers today By Joan Secuya-Medida PhilBoxing.com Sat, 12 Jan 2013 ![]() SAN FRANCISCO -- Tripped by the Memphis Grizzlies 94-87 at home last Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors hope to return to their winning ways when they host the streaking Portland TrailBlazers today at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. There are so many things to worry about these Trail Blazers, who are in the midst of a four-game win-streak capped by a 92-90 come from behind triumph over the defending champions Miami Heat Thursday night at the Rose Garden in Portland. Although LaMarcus Aldridge leads the Blazers in scoring with 20.6 points per game, it is point guard Damian Lillard who definitely drives this team's engine. The fearless rookie is averaging 18.2 points and 6.5 assists an outing. Another force to reckon with is Nicolas Batum, who whips 16.7 points, 5/6 rebounds and 4.5 assists a contest. Needless to say, the host Warriors will have their hands full in their building. "Our confidence is extremely high. Playing hard, playing well, we're having fun out there. So that's a great combination," Blazers guard Wesley Matthews told NBA.com Despite his team's two-game slide, Warriors ace Stephen Curry welcomes the Portland challenege. "There's no need to panic. We just have to keep grinding and play 48 minutes. Curry leads the Warriors in scoring with 20.2 points per. David Lee norms 19.2 while Klay Thompson addes 15.9 markers.
