?Hercules? shows power, flattens ?Kid Terrible? By Dennis U. Eroa PhilBoxing.com Wed, 17 Oct 2012 ![]() TRUE to his promise, Junior ??Hercules?? Doliguez flattened Ciso ??Kid Terrible?? Morales to crown himself World Boxing Oriental featherweight king recently at the jampacked Batangas City Coliseum. The 21-year-old Doliguez went into the attack mode right from the opening bell and peppered Morales (16-2-1, 9KOs) with powerful right and left combinations to the delight of the predominantly Batangueno crowd. A punch to Morales? mid-section signaled the end of the match scheduled for 12 rounds. ??I would like to thank my supporters and handlers for making this win possible. I also want to thank the fans for witnessing the fight. I am confident that I?ll be a world champion someday,?? said Doliguez, who improved his record to 14-0-1, 10 KOs. The fight which was open free to the public was supported by ALA-EH (Association of Local Athletics Entrepreneurs and Hobbyists). ALA-EH founded by sportsman Elmer Anuran aims to develop future world-beaters from the grassroots and provide young athletes the opportunity to show their talents. Doliguez had earlier boasted that he would down the battle-tested Morales. ??It was clear that he has power, but his moves need to be polished. His training will continue under Benny (De La Pena) and we will find ways to tighten his defense, There is no doubt he can knock out his future rivals,?? said Anuran. Doliguez, a province mate of Saranggani Representative and ring legend Manny Pacquiao, trains at the Touch Gloves Boxing Gym in Agoncillo, Batangas. ??This win will inspire me to train harder,?? said Doliguez, Anuran said he expects Doliguez to fight a local boxer before tackling Mexican Alejandro Hernandez early next year. ??Jun?s only 21. His future looks bright,??said Anuran. The slugfest was witnessed by WBO Vice-President Leon Panoncillo Jr, who was recently appointed by WBO president Francisco Valcarcel as chairman of WBO international regional titles.
