The ?Hercules? vows to flatten ?Kid Terrible? By Dennis U. Eroa PhilBoxing.com Wed, 10 Oct 2012 ![]() FIGHT fans will learn whether Junior ??Hercules?? Doliguez will keep his promise to flatten Ciso ??Kid Terrible?? Morales when they clash for the World Boxing Oriental featherweight crown on October 13 at the Batangas City Coliseum. The fight which is open free to the public is supported by ALA-EH (Association of Local Athletics Entrepreneurs and Hobbyists). ALA-EH, founded by sportsman Elmer Anuran aims to develop future world-beaters from the grassroots and provide young athletes the opportunity to show their talents. Earlier, Doliguez (13-0-1, 9KOs) said he is going to send Morales (16-2-1, 9KOs) to dreamland. ??Yes, sir, I plan to knock Morales out. I don?t want to disappoint the fans and I want to make a solid impression not only here but abroad as well,?? said Doliguez, a stalwart of the Touch Gloves Boxing Gym in Agoncillo, Batangas. Doliguez said his training camp went well. He trained under the watchful eyes of veteran trainer Benny dela Pe?a. Doliguez is also inspired by the recent triumph of sparmate and reigning IBF interim Pan Pacific super bantamweight king Drian Francisco who scored a stunning first round knockout win against Mexican Jose Carlos Vargas in Sonora,Mexico. ??The victory of Drian will serve as an inspiration. We?ve trained together. He's a very hardworking fellow and I admire his work ethics,?? said Doliguez. Anuran, known in the sporting world for discovering and helping young and talented boxers, said Doliguez will be tested by Morales. While thanking international promoters Michael Aldeguer and Sammy Gello-Ani for their helping hands in making the fightcard blockbuster, the youthful Anuran said not only Batanguenos but ring fans in many parts of the country will benefit from the slugfest. ??Hercules is going up against a tough and determined foe. We?ve decided to make the card open free to the public because we?ve wanted fanns to come and see not only Doliguez-Morales but other bouts as well,?? said Anuran. Doliguez is also hoping that he?ll be able to re-unite with his long-lost brother after the bout. ??I am confident that my brother Arnel will watch this bout.?I am praying that this fight will finally end my long search for my kuya. We have no communications since we parted ways seven years ago,'' said Doliguez. Anuran stressed that other bouts are equally interesting. World-class Al ??Captain A?? Sabaupan and Bernabe Concepcion will show their wares against dangerous rivals. Bicolano-pride Sabaupan battles battle-scarred Roselito Campana in one of the main supporting bouts. Sabaupan lost a thriller of a fight to Mexican Marvin Quintero in their IBF lightweight title eliminator at the Unidad Deportiva Centenario in Mexico last April but came back to knock out Freddie Martinez in the first round last June at the Angono Municipal Gym in Rizal. ??I want to finish the bout early but I am not going to be careless,?? said Sabaupan, who has a 19-1, 14 KOs record. Followers of Concepcion will also be delighted to know that Concepcion (30-6-1, 16 KOs) will be back in action against Richard Olisa. Olisa sports a 23-18, 12 KOs record and is known in local ring circle as the Jackhammer due to his punching power. Olisa lost to Thai Chonlatarn Priyapinyo (43-0-0) for the WBC Asian Boxing Council last June at Lonkhon Village, Sakon Nakhon, Thailand. Before that loss, Olisa, who hails from Mandaluyong City, created quite a stir after downing the highly-favored James Bacon in the second round last November at the Sta.Maria Central School covered courts at Zamboanga City. Morales previously owned the WBO Oriental Super bantamweight and WBO Asia Pacific Youth bantamweight titles. Morales also fought for the world title but lost to Fernando Montiel two years ago in Las Vegas. He drew with Mexican Gregorio Torres last year at the Auditorio Principal del Cnar in Mexico City. ??Jun is ready,?? said Dela Pena. Also in the card are Touch Gloves stalwarts, who are eyeing their share of stardom. They are Lolito Sonsona and Jethro Pabustan. ??A night to remember,'' said Anuran of the fightcard.
