PEREZ IMPRESSIVE IN PUBLIC WORKOUT (PHOTOS)

Former WBA interim world flyweight champion Jean Piero Perez (19W-4L-1D, 14 KO?s) of Venezuela had a public workout at the SM Cebu Events Centre Wednesday to promote his title challenge against WBO International champion Milan ?El Metodico? Melindo (27W-0L, 11 KO?s).
The rangy Perez went through the routine warm ups and skipped rope. He showed his hand speed, power and good footwork when he hit the punch mitts with his trainer Francisco Arroyo.
Fans who attended the event also got to win complimentary tickets.
Also set to appear on Pinoy Pride XVI are two OPBF champions ? Rocky Fuentes will defend his OPBF flyweight title against Myung Ho Lee of Japan and OPBF miniflyweight champion Merlito ?Tiger? Sabillo of Bacolod City vs. Bimbo Nacionales of Maasim, Sarangani in a non-title contest. Arthur ?El Matador? Villanueva of Bacolod City will face his first foreign opponent in Thai veteran and former world title challenger Pramuansak Posuwan.
PINOY PRIDE XVI: Venezuelan Invasion is set at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel this Saturday. There will be a press conference Thursday, also at the Waterfront Hotel and the official weigh-in of the protagonists will be this Friday.
