BANGKOK, Thailand - WBO Asia Pacific Youth Bantamweight Champion world rated Thailand's Pungluang Sor Singyu as well as Filipino challenger Marvin Tampus weighed-in 118 lbs ahead of their title match tomorrow (August 17) in Phetchaburi, Thailand.
Both fighters successfully passed the medical check-up from Dr. Paisal Wongsaroj.
The 27-year-old Marvin Tamus M. Singwancha (27-12-2, 18KO's), a former PABA light flyweight champion, comes from an 8-round unanimous decision victory over fellow Filipino Jestoni Pepito last August 6 at the Mandaue Sports Complex in Cebu.
In the other corner, Pungluang Sor Singyu (36-1, 24KOs), 23-year-old, is the world's #3 bantamweight by the WBO behind Abner Mares and Vic Darchinyan. The WBO bantamweight world champ is Nonito Donaire Jr.
The Tampus vs Sor Singyu WBO title card is organized by One Songchai Boxing Promotions and will be broadcast live in Thailand on Channel 3.
