If plans don?t miscarry, Marco Antonio Barrera will be at special ringside when compatriot Oscar Larios battles Manny Pacquiao on July 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
But the ?Baby-Faced Assasin? will not be cheering for Larios, instead, he will doing the commentary of the WBC International super-featherweight tiff for the Mexican viewers.
A source from the MP Promotions revealed yesterday that Golden Boy Promotions, the promotional outfit of Barrera and Larios, wantsto have the Mexican champion as part of the television panel covering the title fight.
?Maybe the Golden Boy Promotions wants to reveal the other side of Barrera, that of being a boxing analyst. Of course, he (Barrera) will doing the commentary in Spanish, since he hardly speaks English. And I think, that?s an added spice to the fight,? the source said.
The same source said that nothing is final yet and it will all depend on ABS-CBN, the promoter of the mega fight, as regards the arrangement on the television coverage.
Barrera is in the thick of preparation for his upcoming title defense of the WBC and IBF superfeatherweight belts against ex-Olympian Rocky Juarez on May 20 at the Staples Center in California.
Meanwhile, Larios is expected to arrive on April 27 to drum up promotions for his engagement with Pacquiao.
