Filipino Rey Lorito to challenge PABA super champ Wusani Kokietgym Tomorrow in Bangkok

PhilBoxing.com

Filipino boxer Rey Lorito (4-9, 1 KO) will have the formidable task to challenge WBA #1 ranked light flyweight fighter and Pan Asia Boxing Association (PABA) super champion Wusani Kokietgym (38-7-2, 12 LO's) in Bangkok tomorrow (June 28).

The news was confirmed today by the Director General of PABA Mr. Alan King of Seoul, who is also Assistant Director of the WBA:

"Light Flyweight (108 lbs) champion Wisanu Kokietgym (above photo) will defend his title against Rey Lorito from the Philippines tomorrow (June 28), and the TBC Chief ring official Prommase Chaksuraksha has been appointed as fight supervisor," said Mr. King.

The PABA officials for the Kokietgym-Lorito clash are:

Referee Mr. Wanchai Pongsri of Thailand. Judges are: Judge Amnart Saichalard of Thailand, veteran Judge Don Francisco Martinez of New Zealand and Judge Mr. Prommase Chakshuraksha of Thailand, who is also the fight's supervisor.

Interestingly, this title battle will be the third fight of the active 20-year-old Rey Lorito in the of Kingdom of Thailand this year 2011.

According to Boxrec.com, Rey Lorito has already battled in different cities of Thailand this year. Rey has fought in the Kingdom this past January, March and May of thie year. All were loses.

Lorito's very last fight was a split desicion lost to fellow pinoy Bautista JP Singwancha just nine days ago (on June 18) in Binangonan, Rizal Province.

Meanwhile, for Wisanu Kokietgym, who has been reigning, defending PABA light flyweight champion since june of 2007, this will be his third fight aganist a filipino warrior.

In Wisanu's two prior tries against pinoys, he lost both bouts by technical KO.

Wisanu's most recent lost to a Filipino was back in Octobre of 2005 at the hands of Cebuano's young rising star Z Gorres.

"The Dream" Gorres punished his thai foe Wisanu, dropping him twice and finally technically knocking him out in the 4th round of their rubber match at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

However, the Z Gorres-Wisanu Kokietgym fight was in the super flyweight division (115 lbs), a weight class way above the best fighting poundage for the 27-year-old world ranked Thailander.

In fact, Wisanu has proven to be a more competitive foe in the light flyweight division (108 lbs).

Tomorrow's PABA title clash with Rey Lorito will be at light flyweight.

Earlier this year Wisanu Kokietgym's handlers have been interested in a fight between Wisanu and 29-year-old filipino Rodel Mayol. But negotiones did not succeeded.

The 12-rounds light flyweight PABA title clash Wisanu-Lorito is organized by the prestigious boxing pomotions company Kokiet Group of young businessman Mr. Kokiet Panichayarom.

Kokiet Group's Vice President Mr. Nicolas Omathkul confirmed that "the fight will take place in a lot in front of the Chaleena Hotel in Ramkhaemhaeng Road tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2pm (Bangkok Time),"
