Patrick Majewski and Kamil Laszczyk Score First Round Knockouts in Philly!

PHILADELPHIA (April 1, 2011) - Unbeaten Polish fighters Patrick "The Machine" Majewski and Kamil Laszczyk continued their winning ways by scoring first round knockouts in separate bouts at The Arena in Philadelphia, PA on Friday night.
The 31-year-old Majewski of Atlantic City by way of Radom, Poland wasted no time in finishing Allen Medina of Denver, Colorado at 1:14 of the first round in their middleweight bout.
Majewski, who raised his record to 16-0 (11 KO) with the win, was making his first professional appearance in The City of Brotherly Love where he had won two Golden Gloves titles as an amateur.
Medina dropped to 8-19 (1 KO) with the defeat.
The most interested spectator on hand was 20-2 (7 KO) middleweight contender Jessie "The Beast" Nicklow of Baltimore, MD. The 24-year-old Nicklow has been discussed as Majewski's next opponent for his Summer return.
The 20-year-old Laszczyk of North Bergen, NJ by way of Wroclaw, Poland needed just 1:48 to score his third professional victory as he stopped Puerto Rican Javier Ramos in the first round of their super featherweight bout.
The former six-time Polish national amateur champion turned pro less than a month ago but has already run his record to 3-0 (3 KO), while Ramos drops to 2-6.
The event was promoted by KEA Boxing, while Majewski and Laszczyk are promoted by Global Boxing Promotions.
