Jaca wins by 3rd round TKO and other results from Tabunok

PhilBoxing.com

Talisay City ? Jimrex ?The Executioner? Jaca and Arnel Dunal were feeling each other out in the first two rounds. Jaca decided to step up the pace by concentrating on the midsection and sent Dunal writhing in pain on the canvas in the third round with a hard borderline body shot.

There was a brief confusion at ringside when the referee said that it was a low blow. But Dunal simplified matters as he was grimacing and trying to get up by signaling that he did not want to continue. Jaca was declared winner by TKO at 2:35 of the round.

Dunal was a last minute substitute for this fight as Jaca?s scheduled opponent for this fight card?s main event, William Gonzalez of Panama, was not able to leave his country.

Once again, Pe?alosa made it a very short night as he immediately trapped Jun Morano in his corner and landed a series of brutal hooks to the body. Morano crumpled and the referee mercifully stopped the carnage at the 1:18 mark.

VIRGILIO SILVANO W TKO 3 ERWIN PULVERA

Pulvera was sent crashing into the canavs near the end of the first round when he walked into a left straight. Silvano, a southpaw, landed punishing body shots in the second. Pulvera was knocked down again in the third and the referee signaled the end at 1:13 of the round.

SARRY CANONIGO W UD 8 ROEL HONOR

Canonigo was bleeding from his forehead in round one and from his left eyelid in round two due to headbutts from Honor, who was subsequently deducted a point in both rounds.

Canonigo continued to be aggressive and knocked Honor down in round three. It was a bruising give and take eight rounder but Canonigo won by a wide margin ? 80-69 on all three judges.

JELBERT BACALSO VS JUNNY SALOGAOL ENDS IN MAJORITY DRAW
