FROILAN "THE SNIPER" SALUDAR NOW AN ADOPTED SON OF IMUS, CAVITE

WBO Asia-Pacific Youth Flyweight Champion Froilan "The Sniper" Saludar, who will face Thai opponent Leimpetch Sor Veerapol this February 19th for the WBO World Youth Flyweight Title, was formally adopted as a son of Imus, Cavite.
Saludar is the first ever boxer to recieve such an honor from the historic municipality of Imus.
The fomalization of the adoption and announcement was held yesterday morning, January 18th, at the office of Mayor Homer Saquilayan. The Mayor and the sangguniang bayan members signed the documents for Saludar's adoption.
The event was such a delight and the energy and enthusiasm of the people present at the signing was evident. The Mayor formally introduced Saludar to the Municipal Hall personnel, his office staff, and guests. "Everyone was so happy. Froilan was introduced to everyone by the Mayor. He was so happy he even gave Froilan a gift. We will do everything to continue to bring pride to Imus", said head trainer Joven Jimenez.
Saludar's adoption goes hand in hand with Mayor Saquilayan's support and commitment to Imus' atheletes. Unknown to many, Imus has been producing well trained athletes who were lured out of Imus by sports bodies based in other places.
