THE DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE: FLOYD'S APOLOGY IS NOTHING

PhilBoxing.com

In an unexpected twist of event, Floyd Mayweather Jr., the self-proclaimed best boxer in the planet has returned to Ustream late Friday to apologize to the public and boxing fans throughout the world. It is very clear that Mayweather felt the negative publicity coming from the media and boxing fans, who responded negatively on his tirades as racist against pound for pound king and Congressman Manny "Pacman" Pacquaio.

Few days ago, Mayweather appeared in Ustream in profane video and unleashed his tirade against Pacman, who was with Antonio Margarito having their promotional tour on their scheduled November 13, 2010 clash at Dallas Cowboy Stadium. Mayweather said that "I will kick that midget in the ring." He alluded that the Pacman was using performance-enhancing drugs and belittled his talent fee in Nike endorsement. He likewise said that Pacman speak no good English. All these tirades perceived to be racist.

In his recent appearance, he said, "I do want to apologize for what happened the other night. I want to apologize to everybody because everybody thought that it was a racist comment that I said. I don't have racist bone in my body. If anybody was affected from that I said the other day, I apologize as a man. I was just having fun. I didn't really mean it."

He may not have a racist bone in his body but his irresponsible comments against Pacquaio has jolted the boxing community. Boxing fans gave different descriptions for Maywearther. When the July 17, 2010 deadline for negotiations elapsed, Mayweather including his bunch of yes boys strongly denied that there was negotiations. But when HBO President Ross Greenburg admitted that there was indeed a negotiation, he shut-up his mouth. Thus, fans called him a blatant LIAR or denial King.

When Pacman destroyed all his bigger opponents, he accused the former of using performance-enhancing drugs. But when Pacman agreed to submit himself in random drug and urine testing in his own terms, he still did not agree to fight. This time, boxing fans called him "gayweather, coward, idiot and no balls." But the most logical reason why he refused to fight, he was scared that he will be brutally knocked out by a midget. Floyd's record (41-0) is impressive and spectacular but most of his opponents were cherry picked. This clearly shows that he is really scared of the midget who might be able to stop his winning streak. Although boxing pundits predict that he has the slight advantage over Pacman because he is a defensive genius, the fighting pride of the Philippines would give him a loss on his ledger.

Pacman may not be fluent in English but at least his message is clear. Floyd's speaks English because he lives in United States, he is surrounded with people, who speak English. But Floyd's speak no Cebuano, Tagalog or Pilipino or even Latino which Pacman does. He was elected as Congressman, well-respected, revered, an idol and beloved by all boxing fans around the globe. Floyd is a villain with no class or breeding. He is an idiot, insensitive and there is so much hatred in himself. He is (KSP) or 'Kulang Sa Pansin', a person who is in need so much attention.

His apology is insincere because he admitted he was just having fun for his tirades. He is extremely jealous of Pacman, who is receiving so much attention from the media and the fans. Pacman needs no Mayweather to cement his legacy in boxing. The warrior from Sarangani has already made history as the only boxer, who won seven championship belts in seven division and make no mistake it will be eight on November 13, 2010. Mayweather's accomplishment is suspect and history will continue to hound him as the only undefeated boxer who failed to cement his legacy unless he will accept the challenge from the midget.
