TANADA OUTHUSTLES OCAMPO TO WIN WBO YOUTH TITLE

Allan Tanada proved to be the real deal last night, outpointing fellow prospect Jose Ocampo after ten rounds to win the WBO Asia Pacific Youth superfeatherweight title in Tanza, Cavite in what WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo described as a "great fight."
Even promoter Sammy Gello-ani, who presented the show along with Sampson Boxing, agreed that the fight had the makings of a Fight of the Year, noting the furious exchange between the two fighters all throughout.
"It was the best fight I have witnessed in the Philippines," said Panoncillo, who was at ringside to personally supervise the bout.
Two judges saw the bout for the unbeaten Tanada, while the third judge gave it to Ocampo.
