Bautista is geared up to show his wares in Bohol as part of his preparation for his up coming fight on August 28, 2010 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City. Arrangements are being made to pit Boom Boom against a power punching Mexican.???????????? As part ?of ALA Promotions and ABS-CBN Sports highly anticipated 'SANDUGO - Labanan ng mga Kampeon' in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on July 17, 2010, Boom Boom is set to show his wares in a special three round exhibition match against OPBF title challenger Fernando Otic of Cebu at the Carlos P. Garcia Spots Complex. Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista (W 28 (KO21) + lost 2 (KO 1) + drawn 0 ) is on the come back trail after being sidelined by a wrist injury prior to his fight against Heriberto Ruiz of Mexico. After being operated on, Boom Boom has won two straight fights over Marangin Marbun of Indonesia for the interim WBC International feather weight title via 7th round TKO and a 6th round KO win over Thailand?s Saichon Sotornpitak at The Lodge, Chi Garden, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This exhibition match will be an exciting one since Boom Boom is pitted against the veteran Fernando Otic. Having fought a number of times in foreign nations and challenging Satoshi Hosono of Japan in home turf for the OPBF feather weight title, Otic will surely bring out the best from Bautista to prepare him for his next fight assignment. Boom Boom in an interview said ?I would like to thank all the people who had been following my career and for their support through winning and otherwise.
