PHILIPPINE JUGGERNAUT ROLLS ON IN WORLD POOL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Philippine juggernaut continued to roll on at the World Pool Champinships in Doha, Qatar Friday evening.
Pool legend Efren ?Bata? Reyes continued his comeback after an initial loss to Haitao Liu of China with back-to-back wins over Germany?s Holger Gries 9-7 and a 9-0 whitewash of Ihab Hassan.
Young Jeffrey De Luna who dropped his first match to Thailand?s Nitiwat Kanjanasri 6-9 came back to defeat Richard Jones 9-6 and then routed Khalid Azmutari 9-3.
US Open champion Lee Van Corteza who fell to Christian Reimering of Germany 5-9 also clawed right back with a 9-3 win over Mohanna Obaidly while Antonio Gabica who lost a cliffhanger to countryman Francisco Felicilda who is wearing the colors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 8-9 whipped American Corey Deuel 9-3 to keep the Philippine juggernaut rolling on.
