Breaking News: Jun Gorres Stabbed To Death

Jun Gorres, older brother of Cebu rising star Z Gorres and who was himself fighter extraordinaire in his heydays, was stabbed to death last night in Mandaue City.
Jun Gorres returned home only two days ago from Indonesia where he had been training Filipino boxers who were campaigning in that country.
According Z Gorres, Jun went out of the Gorres residence in Mandaue around 10 pm last night, but later, he received a phone call informing him that Jun was stabbed to death somewhere in Bakilid, Mandaue City.
The 31-year-old Gorres, who was campaigning in the light welter division, had accumulated a fight record of 25 wins, 3 loses and 1 draw with 22 knockouts, according to boxrec.com. His last fight was against South African Lovermore N'dou in Honululu, Hawaii on May 17, 2002.
Jun's remains now lies in wake at St. Anne's Funeral Parlor in Ibabao, Mandaue City.
