DOMINGO REVEALS SECRET WEAPON PhilBoxing.com Thu, 13 May 2010  It will be a ?make or break? fight for the veteran Michael Domingo who fights out of the ALA Promotions on his coming showdown with the fearsome Luis Melendez of Colombia on May 23, 2010 at the Pacific Ballroom of the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino. Undaunted and undisturbed, the equally feisty Domingo revealed that his secret weapon will secure his win over the power-hitting Colombian. ?Nothing can be more reassuring than having Gorres as my secret weapon. ALA Promotions President, Michael Aldeguer believes that the fight will not last the distance. He said, ?Either one can punch. Nicknamed ?Bruce Lee?, Domingo?s record of 39-14-2 with 17 knockouts may not look impressive because most of his losses came early in his career before joining the fabled ALA Gym. Since then he has come out with impressive wins over world-rated fighter like Jose Navarro, Ratanachai Sor Vorapin & Miguel Roman. The memory of Gorres collapsing after his fight with Melendez and going into emergency brain surgery is too fresh to be forgotten although the amiable and well-loved Gorres is on the road to full recovery. Quoting some of the most inspiring battle-cries like, ?Remember the ALAMO? and ?Remember Bataan?, the emotional Domingo declares his own battle-cry; ?REMEMBER GORRES?. The battle-scarred veteran Domingo is aware that he will be fighting a ferocious heavy hitter who has 21 knockouts in 26 wins and 8 of this coming in the 1st round.
