BACOLOD?S GUANZON STABLE PROSPECTS SHINE IN HIMAMAYLAN CITY

Bacolod City - The people of Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental were treated to an exciting punch fest as Rev. Henry Guanzon?s JR Eagle Boxing Promotions, NABA Vice President Dodong Bascon and Hon. Harry Sian brought ?Boxing Blow by Blow? into the city as opening event for their Fiesta Celebration. The event was held in the jam-packed Agustin Gatuslao Memorial Gym.

In the main event, Himamaylan Native super featherweight Ryan ?The Pitbull? Sermona (W8 L2) of Guanzon Stable conquered Reggy Vanueza of Butuan City via knock out in round 6. Sermona dominated Vanueza in every round and floored him once in the fourth round, twice in the fifth round, and ended the fight with a left hook to the liver in round 6. The brawler style of both warriors filled the venue with loud cheers and applause.

In the co-main event, GAB Ranked No. 4 and undefeated flyweight Arthur ?El Matador? Villanueva (W11 L0 KO8) of the Guanzon stable finished his job early by knocking out Darryl Amuncio of Agusan del Sur in the second round. Villanueva who showed a lot of style and speed out punched his opponent from round one, floored his opponent early in the second round before finally sending him back to the canvass for good in the final seconds of the round.

In the undercard bouts, undefeated Featherweight Jan-Jan ?The Hitman? Guanzon (W10 L0 KO1) of the Guanzon Stable made his first knock out victory by stopping Butuan City?s Romnick Rapista in the sixth round. Guanzon dominated every round of the fight according to the judges score cards.

Still in the undercard, Rex De Lara of Iloilo?s Tinagan Stable made a great come back from MMA to Professional Boxing by winning against Kevin de la Cruz of Guanzon stable via a sixth round unanimous decision. De Lara floored de la Cruz in the second round and scored another knock down in the fourth round.

The people of Himamaylan City were very delighted to see their own fighter win his fight in their hometown. NABA Vice President Dodong Bascon who is also the husband of the city mayor promised that the fight card was just the beginning of more exciting boxing fights to be held in their city.
