SUICO LOSES TO JAUREGUI!

Randy Suico proved too slow against the sleek-moving and counter-punching former IBF lightweight champion Javier Jauregui of Mexico as he lost a majority decision in their 10-round encounter at the USC Lyon Center in Los Angeles.

According to reports coming from Pacland members who were watching the fight live on Telefutura, Suico's tentative approach to the fight had him dominated by his opponent on most rounds. Clearly the stronger fighter, it appeared that Suico could take out his opponent with one punch but his flat-footedness and lack of agility had him always beaten to a punch as he wasn't able to solve Jauregui's overhand rights and sharp counters.

Judge Chuck Hasset had it 95-95 while Judges Jack Reiss and Rey Corona had it 99-91 for Jauregui.

Suico now dropped to 23-2-0 (20 KOs) while Jauregui improved to 50-12-2 (34 KOs).
