Web Special: Joseph R. Svinth's The Origins of Boxing in the Philippines, 1899 - 1929

Once in a while, you come to find an object that is very rare and valuable that you would forever be grateful that you have found it. Joseph R. Svinth's "The Origins of Philippines Boxing, 1899-1929" is such a rare gem of an article that all efforts should be made to preserve it in the annals of Philippine boxing history.

No doubt that Mr. Svinth, who is the executive editor of Journal of Combative Sport, had exerted considerable time and effort to dug up the historical facts behind the article and much kudos to him in doing so.

We are doubly grateful to Mr. Svinth however, for also allowing us to publish the article in our PhilBoxing.com pages and make it part of our permanent collections.
