BOBBY PACQUIAO IS GAB BOXER OF THE MONTH

Following his impressive stint in the United States, Bobby Pacquiao has been chosen by the Games and Amusements Board as its Boxer of the Month for June.
GAB Boxing Division chief Emmanuel Flores yesterday informed that Pacquiao has been chosen owing to his stirring victory of the WBC Continental Americas super-featherweight title over Carlos Navarro last June 17.
Pacquiao had knocked out Navarro in the seventh round of their scheduled 12-rounder at the Table Mountain Casino in Friant, California.
California-based Michael Koncz, who together with Manny Pacquiao represents Bobby, had earlier informed that the win will most likely result in the latter's relinquiahing of his Philippine superfeatherweight crown.
The win over Navarro virtually opened the floodgate of lucrative offers that will soon come Bobby Pacquiao's way.
"We are presently negotiating with Tom Loeffler for Bobby to fight on September 24, 2005, on the under card of Heavyweight Champion, Vitali Klitschko. In the event we are not able to reach an agreement with Tom for the 24th bout it is anticipated that Bobby will fight on the under card when Manny fights an undetermined opponent possible on September 10, 2005 in Los Angeles, California," Koncz said.
