The 'Masyadors' in Vegas!

PhilBoxing.com

Charleston, 787 Pro -- Barely three weeks to go and we will witness again the phenom our very own (the People’s Champion) Manny Pacquiao. The odds, the bettings just add more interest for this upcoming big event. According to Las Vegas odds, Manny is favored heavily by -260 and the “naturally bigger and stronger”, the pride of Puerto Rico is way underdog by +260.

To understand how Vegas bettings go, if you put money on Manny your $260 will only win $100.00. On the other hand if you choose Miguel Cotto, your $100 will win $260.

This is not how Filipinos do the math in bettings. The masyadors don’t know how to shout or yell this one in the cockpit arenas and in the boxing venues. 'Masyadors' cannot 'masyar' the way they used to like the: 'AH NUEVE! NUEVE!', 'AHHH DIEZ! AHH DIEZ!', 'TAGUP AT! TAGUP AT!', 'TRES DOS! TRES DOS!' OR 'DIEZ TEA! DIEZ TEA!' ETC…

How can the Masyadors masyar for Manny if the $100 will win $38.46?

Can they shout 'DIEZ - TRES OCHIENTAI CUATRO SAIZ!?' ... I kinda laugh on this one, that’s too much to masyar for the Masyadors. But that’s the way it is. Manny is favored 10:38.46. Do the math masyadors!

If this is a cockfight, Miguel Cotto should give a 'parteda' a favor to Manny. Bigger, taller, 'Rasa' vs. smaller pure 'Bisaya', it can’t happen in any cockpit arena or 'tigbakays'. Cotto should give a 'sing sing sa tuo' or 'bao-bao' or maybe two blades against one.

But little thing they know, this pure 'bisaya' is a very 'salto', very slick and crafty. Yohoo!

Oh!Beertime…

The Orlando Magic really looks mighty, not because of Carter (he just replaced Turkoglo) but the addition of Matt Barnes and Brandon Bass really solves the puzzle if they will meet Kobe again… I hate to see Manny being compared to some boxers (just because they beat the same guys from the same country, I just don’t get it?) it’s just like comparing the great Kobe or Tim Duncan to Ed Ducut or Mokish Advani… Celtics is a big 4 team now with Rasheed, but you know what?, Rondo played like an all-star the last play-offs, so that makes them the BIG FIVE!... hello to 787 Engineers USMCs Lucho Freund, Joe Mason and Mike Thomas... hello to Nic Tolson and thanks a lot to Donald White… these guys will surely watch with me come November 14… if not, see you in Vegas… what you think Salven?
