“The Haitian Sensation” Daniel Edouard Returns PhilBoxing.com Sat, 19 Sep 2009 West Palm Beach Florida, (September 18th, 2009) VMG Worldwide, Inc., is the world’s most preeminent and diversified sports, entertainment, and media company, and is proud to announce that VMG Sports member “The Haitian Sensation” Daniel Edouard, will be defending his WBA Fedelatin Middleweight boxing title on October 9th, 2009 against Wilmer Gonzalez in Panama City, Panama. Edouard 22-2-2 13 ko's, of West Palm Beach Florida, is currently ranked number 8 by the WBA and number 15 by the WBO in the middleweight division, and is ranked number 11 by the WBC in the junior middleweight division. He is currently riding a four fight winning streak since taking a year off away from the sport. Known as a warrior inside of the ring, Daniel Edouard is a humanitarian outside of the ring. Daniel is the founder of The Haitian Sensation Foundation which aims to help the youth of Haiti build opportunity by bringing awareness to several sporting opportunities and offers the youth the opportunity to participate and excel in sports such as boxing, basketball, and track and field. As these sports gain popularity, and as the programs grow larger, the foundation has hopes of utilizing these sports to attract tourism as well. The Haitian Sensation Foundation also reaches into the United States where the foundation offers tutoring for children and a food distribution program for immigrant Haitians in the U.S. that are in need. Along other lines the foundation also offers the immigrant youth from Haiti aid in learning the English language and help in adjusting to life in the United States. A business man as well, Daniel Edouard also has promotion company and an entertainment company. The promotion company Hybrid Combat Sports will regularly promote both mixed martial arts and boxing shows in the West Palm Beach Florida area. The boxing shows will host Team Sensation which is an outstanding team of young up and coming Haitian boxers including Evens Pierre (10-0, 9 ko's), Johnny Orisme (3-0, 1 ko), Wilkey Campfort (1-0, 1 ko), Eli Augustama (5-0, 3 ko's), Emmanuel Augustama (1-0, 1 ko), and Azea Augustama (2-0, 1 ko). The entertainment company Christ-Like Musiq will primarily do theatre shows and concerts. The theatre aspect of Christ-Like Musiq is preparing for its first tour where they will literally take their show on the road to several local venues in the South Florida area.  |
